Tepco is struggling to contain the highly radioactive water that is seeping into the ocean near Fukushima. The head of Japan’s NRA, Shinji Kinjo exclaimed, “right now, we have an emergency,” as he noted the contaminated groundwater has breached an underground barrier and is rising toward the surface – exceeding the limits of radioactive discharge. In a rather outspoken comment for the typically stoic Japanese, Kinjo said Tepco’s “sense of crisis was weak,” adding that “this is why you can’t just leave it up to Tepco alone” to grapple with the ongoing disaster. As Reuters notes, Tepco has been accused of covering up shortcomings and has been lambasted for its ineptness in the response and while the company says it is taking actions to contain the leaks, Kinjo fears if the water reaches the surface “it would flow extremely fast,” with some suggesting as little as three weeks until this critical point.
Comments-- You know most people ignore this kind of thing until it happens in their own backyard then it is to late to act. The Earth is all our backyards so people the world over should get very alarmed over the poisoning of our oceans by most all the major energy companies. Its a shame when we have had alternative technologies that would have avoided this for decades already. Enough Already.

Pure electric vehicles, such as the Leaf and Tesla Motors Inc. (TSLA)’s Model S, will remain less than 1 percent of the market in 2020, while plug-in models like the Volt and Ford Fusion Energi will command just 2 percent of the market by then, LMC forecast yesterday. Gasoline-electric hybrids such as the Prius, will grow to 5 percent in seven years from 3 percent now.
Comments- Electrics are at their best when recharged off the local solar, or other renewable household energy system. At the price of these machines today you would think they would come complete with enough PV modules to maintain the batteries.

You know it feels good to know that one really doesn't have to go anywhere to sustain life. It is here all around us all the time, all the things we need for a good, healthy, sustainable life. Organic foods, fish, natural energy, livestock, pets, sunlight, fresh clean water, fresh clean air, fertile land with an edible landscape, solar powered electrics transportation, reliant seasonal shelter, community, and the greatest country on Earth, the land of America. The main mes...sage to others that go out onto this, Mother Earth to do a similar adventure is simple. Use technology that fits into nature without destroying nature is number one. Never cut your umbilical cord to our great Mother. Start live food and water producing systems as soon as possible, so you are not dependent on stored food and water stocks only. Establish a non- utility type alternate electrical energy system as soon as possible so you are not dependent on the grid. Establish a means of transportation that is non-fossil fuel based as soon as possible so you can get around your local area beyond your walk zone so you are not dependent on gasoline or other non-localized energy system. This could start with something as simple as a bicycle, or a horse. Establish a communications network with the outside world, this could be something as simple as a CB or HAM radio, or a cell phone or magic jack, a internet connected laptop or PC just to stay connected in case of a local or global emergency, plus of course family and friends... etc. Get to know your neighbors. Share with them, your dream. There is nothing to be bashful about when doing something useful on this Earth. Dig in and enjoy ! Make your stand today.
Yay! What is in a city anyway besides a lot of cars, hot air, station after station, stop and go lights, buildings for rent, buildings to buy crap in, and buildings blocking the view, buildings to get religion in, buildings to pay taxes in, buildings to buy, or build more buildings, like banks, and schools that teach people how to get a job, buy a bunch of crap and build buildings.

You know I have tried to think of a way society could change to a more self-sufficient arrangement with nature for a while now. At first I thought maybe some better more stringent environmental laws but you know what, if making laws could change anything they already would have. Look at all the drug laws for instance. Did the drug laws stop the use of illegal drugs? No ! In fact the use of illegal drugs is worst now than ever especially when you factor in all the abuse of prescription medicines. Nah, the best way is through the individual and plain ole good ole fashioned education. People change when they see something better to change to. So yes, we need those model homes out there, Yes! We need all those prototype inventions out there. We need those writers to keep writing. Those dreamers to keep dreaming. I know you have heard that true change comes from the bottom up. Well Yes, again sometimes it does as many grassroots startup in the past has proven. But also there is a time for change that wells up in the collective conscience of a societies culture. The sixth sense that change is inevitable as if history itself is drawing up the plans for the future and we as humans are just finding our roles, and learning the script, acting it all out as large as life itself.

Business as usual around here with animals to tend, gardens to tend, and futures to build.
A lot of the words in our English language has been perverted to mean something else than its true intentional definition, but also we are inventing new words all the time to describe new ideas, and discoveries. But when a society begins to label everything with it own political agenda as terms caught up in the so called " Political Correctness " movement of language, is basically Ludacris, and has... hurt way more people than it has helped in the long run as just another form of division and utter nonsense. Also groups will adopt a word or phrase as its own, and twist it into a new meaning and expect all people to distort their minds to such deviations as well. So we ask. What is a pure language? All forms of language is a brain virus, and is something that is programmed into our minds after birth rather than being born with it like an organ naturally biologically oriented. Within each language are cultural adaptations that we have come to call accents. As someone from France may have a French accent when speaking another language that was learned as a second language, so we therefore can notice a cultural background for just that tone. As humans we pick up on these subtle differences almost instantly and the knowledge usually adds character and individuality to the person with this cultural diversity. So learn to become more tolerant with most things language for in the end it will make you a much better well rounded person

My Dad used to tell us boys that for every working man you got ten trying to figure out how to live off his labors. Well nowadays I feel as though that number might be 20 or thirty. The welfare system in America wasn't supposed to be a way to make a living generation after generation, as a way of life, but instead it was created to help people in a bind to get through a hard time till they get back on their feet. The retirement aspect of the social security was for folks that had actually paid into the system during their working years and then during their golden years of retirement actually draw back some of that savings as a monthly income. The system is broke, and will no longer function as intended, for one reason and that is you got all these baby boomers retiring about 10,000 a day, while at the same time you have less and less people in the work force. Welfare is the organized public or private social services for the assistance of disadvantaged groups. Aid could include general Welfare payments, health care through Medicaid, food stamps, special payments for pregnant women and young mothers, and federal and state housing benefits.
The Welfare system in the United States began in the 1930s, during the Great Depression. Opponents of Welfare argue that it affects work incentives. 46,700,000 Americans are on food stamps and 5,600,000 Americans are collecting unemployment. The United States spends $131.9 billion dollars annually on welfare. However, this figure does not include food stamps or unemployment. As you can tell, the United States spends a fortune each year on welfare, food stamps, and unemployment.Within the 4,300,000 Americans on welfare there are over 40 states that pay more than $8 dollars an hour, 7 states that pay more than $12 dollars an hour, and 9 states that pay more than the average salary of a teacher. Americans who make up to $1000 dollars per month may qualify for welfare. The United States government spends over $60,000 dollars per household in poverty. The goal of the welfare system is to bring families above the poverty line; however, the amount of money being filtered into these homes isn’t always obtaining these results. Because of abuse of the system, and poor management the welfare system is rapidly racking up billions of dollars while creating a system of chaos.
